MUNCHIE MUG REVIEW/GIVEAWAY

My little sister wanted a snack so we used the Munchie Mug.

I was sent the
Munchie Mug in blue. My sister really likes it.

Here is about Munchie Mug :

"About Us:

Witty Works Inc. is a family-based business in Sonoma, California, that is dedicated to the safety and development of children’s products for a better world. Witty Works maintains a high standard in manufacturing and design. Witty Works was established with the concept of creating products that are safe and help to simplify life.

The first product released by Witty Works Inc. is the Munchie Mug – a spill resistant snack cup for children 10 months and older that is innovative in both concept and design. The idea was originally born in 2004 by the company’s President Phil., a precision machinist by trade, dedicated inventor, and most importantly, a Grandfather. With the help of Mike (also a grandfather), a talented engineer and close family friend, and Phil’s four children and their families, Munchie Mug went through lots of testing - and several rebirths – to become the product it is today.

With the goal of child safety in mind and a dedication to American Manufacturing, it is our hope that the Munchie Mug will set new standards for children’s products. We believe that the Munchie Mug is superior in function and design to other products of similar use. And in a day and age when product recalls are commonplace, we have made the effort to guarantee that our product is constructed with only FDA food grade approved materials. It is very important to us that the Munchie Mug is both environmentally and economically friendly. Purchasing a Munchie Mug is making a decision to create a better world for ourselves and our children."

Here is information about Munchie Mug :

"Product Information:

The Mug:

Munchie Mug is 100% proudly made in America with safety in mind. Made of tough, durable, and recyclable No. 5 polypropylene from American suppliers, the plastic and color additives are approved for direct food contact according to FDA 21 CFR, sections 177.1520 and 170.39. Munchie Mug comes with a 16 oz. plastic jar that effectively holds 10 oz. of dry foodstuffs and is suitable for children 10 months and older. The unique patent pending lid screws on tight, assuring that it stays on and the food stays in.

The Munchie Mug has been field tested for over a year, and has held up well to the satisfaction of its users (see testimonials). The tough, durable, fabric will undergo wear typical of fabrics, but this will not impair the function of the Munchie Mug (see FAQ’s page).

How it is used:

Unscrew the lid and put in the snack. Cloth opening actually remains closed at all times, that is, until the child wants a snack. When hungry, the child easily and comfortably puts their entire hand through the soft non-scratchy opening and grabs the snack. Then the hand is freely withdrawn through the opening with the hand holding the snack. When the hand is removed, the cloth opening closes by itself. A solid stay fresh lid is also supplied in order to keep the snack fresh when the Mug is not in use.

Care and maintenance:

(cleaning)

Please clean your Mug before the first usage. All parts are dishwasher safe and may be cleaned using the top rack (do not put the parts on the bottom rack) of a dishwasher.

(drying)

The cloth holds moisture after washing. To dry it, press against both sides of the fabric at the same time with 2 pieces of dry cloth or paper towels. Blot a few times and the fabric should be dry.

(removing the patented threaded lid)

The Munchie Mug features a screw on top that makes it very difficult for children to open. Because of this locking feature of the threads, the easiest way to open the Mug is to insert the four fingers of your left hand into the top of the mug while grasping the outside with your thumb. Holding the jar in your right hand (as shown in the accompanying photo), turn the lid clockwise in the direction the thumb is pointing to easily open the mug. It is not necessary to overly tighten the lid."

Here are the Features :

  • "Secure Screw-On Top with Easy Grip Handle
  • Soft fabric closure for sensitive little hands
  • Easy to clean: Top Rack Dishwasher Safe
  • Great for healthy snacking: Cereals, dried fruits, crackers, etc.
  • Additional stay-fresh lid included for keeping snacks fresh when mug is not in use
  • Economically friendly: Made in the United States of America
  • Child friendly: Made of all FDA food grade compliant materials
  • Environmentally friendly: Made of 100% recyclable materials & eliminates waste created by plastic snack baggies that are used once and thrown away. Use the Munchie Mug, again, again, and again!!!"

We took the Munchie Mug on a shopping trip the other day and she was so excited. Every time she took something out of the mug SHE wanted to get it. I really like Munchie Mug. Anybody with children would really enjoy having this. I think this would be good for at least 10 and under. Older children could use it also. I even use it some. It is so handy. You just reach your hand in and grab the snack and when you pull your hand out it closes back up. It is GREAT!
