Gaggle of Gift Baskets Event - Baby Dipper Feeding Bowl Review and Giveaway!!

I was at a friends house the other day when she pulled out a really neat bowl for her daughter to use. It had a non-slip base and it was tilted inside so that she could get the food easily.

Baby Dipper sent me one of their Baby Dipper Feeding Bowls and Spoon sets. Here is a picture of our Feeding Bowl and spoon set...

About Baby Dipper Bowl :
"The Story of the Baby Dipper® bowl

Hello! I’m Barbara Schantz, mom of twin girls, Greta and Cora, born in 2004, and also the mother of twin boys, Franklin and Carlton, born in 2008. As a stay-at-home mom of twin babies, I faced the daunting task of feeding them. Frustrated with the bowls I had already purchased, I investigated and bought other bowls, but still remained disappointed. The vision for the Baby Dipper® bowl came to me when Cora and Greta were about 6 months old, not long after they started eating baby cereal and other pureed foods. I needed a bowl that required only one hand to successfully feed a baby, but why wasn't there one on the market that satisfied this need?

Franklin, Cora, Hans, Greta, Barbara, and Carlton

I was thinking that to accomplish one-handed feeding, the bowl should not slide around on the table and it should aid in the collection of the baby food. A non-slip bottom surface would keep it from sliding. A sloped interior surface and a spoon-shaped collection point would help gather the food down to the last bite. Also, adding to those features, vertical sides would help push food onto the spoon and transparent sides would allow the food to be seen easily by both the parent and the child. The bowl I designed has proven to make feeding much easier for parents and even for toddlers trying to spoon-feed themselves. The patented Baby Dipper bowl is truly unique in the marketplace and hopefully will help parents everywhere.

A bit about Barbara Schantz

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, living there until 2000 when I met my husband, Hans, and moved to Huntsville, Alabama. I attended Georgia Tech, majoring first in architecture and then in history. I worked for Volvo Cars of North America for eight years, the last four as a Product Specialist training sales consultants on the features and benefits of Volvo cars. I left Volvo in 2004 when our twin girls, Cora and Greta, were born and I have been a stay-at-home mom ever since. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis the same day the patent for the Baby Dipper bowl was filed, August 17, 2005. So far I have not been affected very much by the disease, but since there is no telling when there will be a sudden downturn, I keep going full steam all the time. And added in 2008 to the excitement of my life is a second set of twins, this time two boys, Carlton and Franklin!!!

I never dreamed that I would have two sets of twins, much less that I would come up with a product that could help parents everywhere feed their babies and help toddlers learn to self-feed. And all of this in addition to the fact that my husband is also a co-founder of a start-up company, The Q-Track Corporation, which is working on an indoor wireless location system. (It's like indoor GPS.) Things have certainly not been easy the past few years, but our family believes that each of these companies has a place in the business world to help people with different needs."

This works really good! J is still a little small so we let H. use it. She enjoyed it! This would be great in a basket with some baby food maybe, a washcloth to wipe their face off, etc.

I learned that it is made of a new BPA-free material and that it is microwavable (although I personally would not do that)
