2013 Gift Guide Event #8 - Novica Review/Giveaway!

How is everyone today?  We have been pretty busy with the holidays, but doing good.  Today I have another company for our 2013 Holiday Gift Guide Event!  This time it is...

Isn't that neat?!?  I think so!  I was given a gift certificate to Novica to try it out.  I haven't received my order yet, but I wanted to get the giveaway up so that hopefully one of my agents can try out the new premium gift wrap this holiday season!  Once my order arrives I will post some pictures.  While there were MANY products I thought were great, I chose the Spirited Sunflowers - Wood Hairpins Set of 3 Hair Accessories Sunflowers.

I have done several other reviews/giveaways for Novica and once again, they have given me a code for one of my Agents.  They carry some really great items!  I have been satisfied with everything I have ever ordered from them.

Has anyone tried using the new! Gift Finder on Novica?  I was browsing through it the other day trying to decide what would make good gifts for certain hard-to-shop for people in my family.  It is so easy to use, and really helpful!  You can look for gifts by price, category (him, her, home decor, gifts for animal lover, religious gifts, etc.).

I was looking through the gifts for the animal lover section and I think the Wrought Iron Candleholder 'Dove of Peace' is really nice.

Then I was looking at the Religious gifts and I found the Cultured Pearl Cross Necklace 'Purity'.  I think it looks really nice.  Novica carries some really great gifts.  Make sure you go check out their website!

Novica Mens Scarf Review and $30.00 Gift Card Giveaway

I was recently able to review a really neat company called Novica. Novica is an online store that has items from around the world including Andes, Bali and Java, Brazil, Central America, India, Mexico, Thailand and West Africa. They carry items like pots, and vases, clothing for men and women including scarves, shirts, pants and accessories like wallets, ties etc.
I was given a $30.00 gift card and chose to review the Alpaca Blend Scarf Charcoal Gift of Warmth.
When I received the scarf I was surprised at how soft and warm it was. This scarf is an excellent way to stay warm and look fashionable while doing it. And to top it all it comes from Peru.
Alpaca is made with natural fibers 60% Acrylic and 40% Alpaca.

The Artist as told by Novica "Isidoro C'cahuantico Mendoza was born on April 4, 1954, in a village near Cuzco. During the 1970s, he was forced to migrate when terrorist activities swept his region. Accepting various jobs, he soon found himself working as a janitor in a textile factory.
"I was completely fascinated with the work they were doing!" Isidoro recalls. "I became enamored with the textile arts at first sight.
"At night, when everyone had gone home and I was left alone to sweep and clean, I began to look at the looms and machines and to experiment with them, just out of curiosity. Some days later, one of the weavers complained to the supervisor that his machine was never the way he'd left it the night before. The owner asked who kept adjusting the loom, and was surprised beyond belief to learn that the culprit was me!
"She asked me why I was using the loom, and I replied that I wanted to learn to weave. She said that if I really wanted to learn, I should learn to assemble one of the spare looms in the warehouse.
"That was one of the most important and memorable moments in my life! My curiosity led me into the world of textiles, looms, knits and weaves.
"That was the beginning of a vocation, a great gift that I have now also passed along to my children. My two older children work with me, weaving and knitting fine alpaca textiles, and my daughter does the best crochet work I have ever seen. I hope all of my four children eventually develop my same love and passion for weaving!

The set I received is sooooo cute! People keep telling me how nice it looks. I put some pics below with what I think. Have fun reading and keep reading because there is a giveaway!

The creamer pitcher is really nice. The design is soo detailed also.

Here is the sugar bowl. It also is really nice. The frog is on top for the handle of the lid.

And the spoon is wood. It looks great in the sugar bowl.
