I looked at getting 30 shirts with a digital print on the front and back and the total estimate was $316.60 not bad when you consider they furnish the shirt and do the printing.

Abundant Harvest Kids Board Game Review and Giveaway

Abundant Harvest for Kids is a great teaching and learning tool for both parents and children.
The concept is the same as the adult version only in this one they use problems that may arise for a child or kid while in school, with friends, or on a day to day basis.
Some of the scenarios used in this game are "A new family just moved in across the street from your home. While you are outside playing, you notice that they have kids your age who are helping their parents unload some boxes." "You have an opportunity to get "extra credit" in English class if you write a book report on a famous local person. Most of your friends are not going to write the report for "extra credit" because they don't care too much about getting a better grade in the class. This is a great tool for a parent to use to discuss problems that may arise with their child. Issues that today are not talked about or punished as they should be. Issues like lying, cheating, disobedience, peer pressure etc.

Telestrations Review & Giveaway!!

Recently I was at ChiTag and got the privilege to review and giveaway Telestrations. Telestrations is a fun game by USAopoly for 4 to 8 players ages 12 and up. The idea of the game is to write in your sketch book what is written on one of the cards and then you pass it on and the next player sketches to the best of his ability what is written on the first pad and you keep going around until it comes back to the person who started the game then you try to guess what the word was.

QuadChess Board Game Review and Giveaway

I was recently able to go to The Chicago Toy and Game Fair and one of the companies I ran into was QuadChess. I love chess to begin with but chess with with four players is just AWESOME!!

Oogie's Popcorn Review and Giveaway

I love Popcorn be it cheddar, caramel, or just plain old butter lovers. But Oogie's Popcorn make's it eating popcorn even better! They kindly allowed me to review some samples of their popcorn including the Kettle Corn Original, The White Cheddar, Movie Lovers Butter, Spicy Chipotle and Lime, and the Cracked Pepper and Asiago. I personally liked their White Cheddar best. They add plenty of white cheddar cheese to make it have just the right flavor of popcorn and white cheddar. The rest of the family enjoyed the Movie Lovers Butter and Cracked Pepper and Asiago. My dad liked the Original Kettle Corn and said it tasted like Caramel popcorn. The Spicy Chipotle and Lime was the least liked but it still tasted good and different.

The Complete Idiot’s Guides vs. For Dummies Books!!

Hello everybody!

It is time for the showdown. It seems that there is a "guidebook" for every interest, hobby and field of learning. The 2 biggest, of course, are The Complete Idiot's Guide and For Dummies series. So, I decided to investigate a book from each of these series on the same subject, and settle once and for all which one was best! (For me at least :) I chose to read the books on Music Theory. Here are the two books I received; The Music Theory Complete Idiot's Guide and the Music Theory For Dummies book.


My sister is really interested in music so I gave these to her to read. She really enjoyed them both but she said the Idiot's Guide was her favorite. Here is what she had to say about it.

Thanks M! So glad to be guest posting here today! I have read books from both of these series before on Piano, HTML and various other topics. However, I have noticed a trend that was verified as I perused each of these Music Theory books for the purpose of picking the best. While each book does give extremely helpful information, I much prefer the style and format of The Complete Idiot's Guide. Much of the information covered is the same, but the CIG books seem to do it in a more interesting way. It will hold your attention better, and actually keeps you wanting to read more. The CIG to Music Theory was very helpful as I am attempting to learn piano, and improve my overall music skills. Sight reading music is easier now, thanks to CIG. This book covers many aspects of music theory, from the basics of pitches, clefs and scales to more advanced chord substitutions, transposing and special notations. There is even a chapter about composing and arranging music which was very interesting, although I don't see myself writing music anytime soon :) I also really enjoyed the included cd that is a huge help in ear training! Although I can play some instruments by ear, this was a great way to improve that skill. Pitches, intervals, scales, rhythm, melody, chords...all of these and more are covered on the cd. So, after completing both the CIG and Dummies books, I am now officially a fan of the Complete Idiot's Guide series!

11th Girls Birthday Bash Giveaway!!-Community Coffee Gift Basket!!

I was traveling around town trying to complete an investigation when it hit me that I was thirsty. I was not far from home so I decided to drop by and fix a nice cup of ICED COFFEE!

I was sent the Community Coffee Iced Coffee Gift Basket! My family (and especially my sisters) LOVE Iced Coffee.

This basket came with a Toddy Coffee Maker, and 2 bags of Community Coffee Sumatra coffee beans. After reading the directions for making iced coffee, I proceeded to try it out. It's very easy, and basically consists of adding water and coffee to the plastic part of the coffee maker (after putting the filter and plug in of course :P)

The coffee has to sit for 12 hours, so I left it overnight. The next morning I was excited to see how it had turned out. After removing the filter, I sat the plastic piece on top of the glass carafe (included in the set) and let it drain through the reusable filter. The coffee looked nice and dark, so I got a glass, added ice, creamer and sugar, and poured the coffee in. After stirring it up, I took a sip...it was delicious! ! I used vanilla flavored creamer in mine, and it tasted exactly like the vanilla iced coffees I get at McDonald's! Seriously! I love the fact that I can now have a vanilla iced coffee whenever I feel like it, and can even experiment with various flavors. The coffee stays good for up to 2 weeks when kept in the refrigerator, so even for a single person, you don't have to worry about wasting any coffee.
