Do any of you use curly hair products? I do! I just recently had my hair permed (a couple of weeks ago now), and my mom and sister have had theirs permed. It was my first time having something like this done, so I did some research on how to care for curly/permed hair. I want to share a couple of things I have learned, how I care for my permed hair, what hair products I use, etc.

You should NEVER use a hair brush on your permed hair. You can finger comb your hair, or use a wide toothed comb or pick. If you use a brush it could make your hair frizzy, plus it can pull the curl out! Not something you want to do. After you shower, don't rub your hair with a towel. This will also frizz your hair. Gently press on your hair with the towel. I always do this, and then let it air dry! You can pull your hair back in a loose ponytail, etc. but make sure you never do a tight hairstyle. This pulls the curls out, etc.
Okay. I usually get up a little earlier so that I have time to style my hair for the day. When I shower I use a Shampoo and Conditioner specifically for curly hair. My hair used to be really thin and oily (it has seemed thicker, and doesn't really get oily since I had my hair permed), so I only use conditioner on the ends of my hair. When I get out I gently pat my hair (so that it isn't dripping wet!). Then I gently comb out my hair (I personally use a hair pick), and start styling! First I use a soft hold styling creme (gel just doesn't work well for me!). After that I use a small amount of curling mousse and scrunch my hair. By the time I am done my hair is really curly, and it lasts all day! Then I either pull the front back in a clip, do a loose ponytail in the back, etc. Usually once I am done in the morning I don't have to touch it until that night!
