Different Variations of Delicious Cheesecakes in Europe

Cheesecake is one of the desserts that been known worldwide, including Europe. Many people may have not thought that cheesecake is something made locally, but there are variations of cheesecakes. UK and Ireland

Italy
The cheesecakes of the Italians are rich in ricotta and honey, which are usually mixed with flour. The unique thing about their cheese cakes is they are loaves in shape. Some of the Italian cheese cakes add bay leaves as its spice or preservative. What is interesting about it is that they make drier then the American type of these desserts.
France
Cheesecakes made in the French-style are considered as a light yet delicious dessert at all. It is usually just up to 2 inches tall, and its featured ingredient is the gelatin. They use a special type of tasty cheese called Neutfchatel cheese.
Sweden
The Swedish cheese cakes are unique compared to other cheese cakes in other EU countries. Swedes often make it without any layers, and by tradition, they would add rennet to make it extra special. It is typically oven-baked and must be served warm. The curdling milk, an ingredient for making a Swedish cheese cake, is not easy to make and buy. Some would use cottage cheese as an alternative. In Swedish language, a cheese cake is called Ostkaka.

Spring Cleaning My Spice Rack

I like to do spring cleaning in waves in my household. If I try to do it all at once it just ends up being entirely too much and getting really crazy. So this past weekend I decided that it was time to tackle my kitchen cabinets, which were pretty messy after all of the holiday cooking that I've done this winter.

One area that I knew needed some extra attention was my spices, so I looked online to see what other people have done to organize their spice cabinet. While I was looking for spice organization tips, I ran across some stuff on Sears Windows and was glad because we're going to replace our windows in about a month or so. We were thinking about going with some local contactor, but these were at a better price than the ones we'd been quoted before.

I finally did find the perfect tips to help create my newly organized spice rack and it gave me a little more motivation to cook. And I thought that I had nearly cooked myself out from all the holiday stuff!

Being Able

There's something to be said for being able to make a new life for yourself that doesn't involve your family. When I was offered this job I was pretty worried about moving away from my mom and dad turns out it's been the best thing I could imagine for me. I've had to make new friends and learn a lot of skills that I didn't already know like emptying the dishwasher and making my bed and even started dabbling in the kitchen so I could learn to cook a little bit! I got satellite internet Muskogee at home so I can e-mail my mom because she likes to keep tabs on me but my dad is far more supportive of me having my own life in my own identity. I finally feel like an adult for the first time in my life and I think it's because I cut the cord right when I needed to. Don't me wrong, there are days that I miss my family, but I'll be okay!

With three kids whose ages span 10 years, it’s been a long time since I have lived alone. Now that my youngest has gone to college, it has been a real adjustment. I guess you could say I have empty nest syndrome. I will admit it is kind of nice to have the tv remote to myself and not wonder on the way home if there is any ice cream left in the freezer. But then I also have to wonder if the milk or the leftovers have gone bad in the fridge (with a teen age boy in the house that never happened.) Before my last son moved out I got Home security Colorado so the truth is I am never truly alone as long as I set the alarm. I always disarm it when I come home but then re-set it without the motion sensor. It gives me peace of mind to know that I have it, like having a guardian angel. Just in case I need it!

Student arrested

I recently saw a student that I taught two years ago on the evening news. He was arrested for robbing a gas station at gun point. I have taught at the same school for the last twenty-two years, but over the past several years, the school has changed dramatically. Many years ago my husband and I made the decision not to live inside the district in which I teach. We felt like it would be wise for us to have some separation from my students away from school. We purchased a home security system through adt kansas city a number of years ago, and we live in a very safe community. However, the school has changed, and I no longer feel as safe at work every day as I once did. We seem to have more troubled students than we used to have, and I have seen a number of quality students transfer out of our school for these reasons. I have three years left until I am able to retire, and I am looking forward to that day. I still care about my students, but it is time for me to move on.

Need a New Camera

I love taking pictures and videos.  I recently found a great camera that is a great deal.  The nikon d5100 with a 18-55mm VR lens, HD Movies with auto focus, vari-angle LCD monitor and lots of Special Effects including Night Vision, High Key, Low Key and Color Sketch. Shopping for the House

I love to go shopping for items in the house. It is interesting to see all the things you can buy. A refrigerator freezer combo is top on my list for the kitchen!! But that is not all I have found:)

Back in the States

I’ve spent the last four weeks in Uganda, as I am sure most of you know, and am SO glad to be back home. However, as I sat on that forever plane ride, my boss was leaving me a voicemail about a potential move across the country. Wouldn’t get that message for three days. Well, three days have passed and here I am. Not so potential anymore – looks like this girl is moving! I am so glad I got to squeeze my mission trip in, though, because I won’t be taking a vacationtime anytime soon. Where am I headed? The Lone Star State! Everything’s better in Texas, right? Or is it bigger? Whatever, I’m excited. Scared, but excited. So, I have two weeks to pack it all up, find a new place, research Texas electricity Providers to save some money, and call a few friends for advice on the best sushi restaurant in town. They have sushi there, right? I might need to do a little more research. So, who wants to come visit me first?
